You Are Trustworthy

I got some things to say...

Last week I got to sit down and talk and listen with a group of women about bodies, food, our culture, being women, and all the things between.

We went on for two hours and had a hard time stopping probably because A) these things matter a lot, and B) we don't talk about them enough!

I feel like it's time for me to use my voice more directly and openly (not just talk the ears off my best friend and husband 😂). And I feel ready, like I've learned and figured out enough to have a more open discussion.

So. YOUR BODY IS TRUSTWORTHY.

⭐I need you to know that you are born with a body full of wisdom and a spirit full of light.⭐

Your body was made perfectly to monitor every process. To check every balance. To alert every danger.

Sometimes we get sick and our bodies don't communicate very well. That's when we use our brains full of memories to make decisions for our bodies.

Sometimes (for a loooong time) we do everything we can to ignore what our bodies have to say. We learn that our bodies are wrong, unworthy, that they don't belong. We stop listening. We can't trust our bodies.

I'm standing here on the other side and telling you that I see you. I see your body, and your body is WORKING. I promise I promise. You can learn how to listen again. Just don't give up, it takes time. You have a lot of lies to forget.

In the meantime, take care. Listen and respond when your body says you gotta pee. Listen and obey when your body says GO TO SLEEP. Listen and go when your body needs to move. Listen and serve when your body needs to do.

Every step you take to listen, the better you'll hear. The more you hear, the more you can trust that body of yours.

❤ Lauresa
